Security
The building doors are open from 7:00am-6:00pm, after these times you will need your access badge for entry to the building. Card access is required at all times as well as Saturday and Sunday for access to the elevators and tenant floors. To obtain an access card, please sumbit a work order through Commercial Cafe or contact the Property Management office.
The Management Office will provide you two (2) keys for the entrance door of your space. All additional keys will be at the tenant’s expense, which will be billed to them via invoice and an addition to their rental statement. The Management Office will have the additional keys made upon written request for tenant. Each employee will be provided with an entry card. All cards must be returned to the Management Office at the end of the lease period. There will be a charge for any cards that are lost or not returned. Each card is assigned to a specific person along with the card number and is non-transferable from person to person without prior consent from the Management Office.
CONTRACTOR AND VENDOR IDENTIFICATION
All contractors and vendors in the building are required to register with the Dock Master and/or Security. The Dock Master can be reached at 704-375-9073 during normal business hours. All contractors and vendors must check in with the Security Console, and will be assigned an ID badge which is to be worn at all times. Access is granted by completing a building access request form and submitting at least 24 hours prior to the time work is scheduled to begin. If you notice someone on your floor who appears to be a contractor, delivery person or vendor but is not wearing a badge, please contact Security Console immediately at 704-375-9072.
Deliveries
All deliveries must be made using the loading dock and service elevator. Dollies, carts, and hand trucks are prohibited in the passenger elevators unless approved by Security. All deliveries must be made from the loading dock and not through the front entrance of the lobby. Persons making deliveries to the dock must sign in with the dock master to obtain access to the service elevator. There is a 30 minute time limit for delivery vehicles parking in the dock area. Unauthorized parking in the loading dock area is specifically prohibited. Towing is strictly enforced.
Security Checklist
The following is a list of general office security suggestions, which are offered to you as an aid in establishing your internal security procedures:

Restrict office keys to those who actually need them.

Keep complete, up-to-date records of the distribution of all office keys.

Establish uniform procedures for collecting keys prior to the termination of employees.

Establish a rule that keys must never be left unguarded on desks or cabinets.

Require that filing cabinet keys be removed from locks and placed in a secure location after opening cabinets.

Prevent unauthorized personnel from reporting a lost key and receiving a replacement.

Ensure that a responsible person is in charge of issuing all keys.

Store keys systematically in a secured wall cabinet of either your own design or one that conforms to a commercial key control system.

Insist on identification from repairmen who come to work in your office.

Clear all desks of important papers.

When working alone in the office at night, lock the front door to prevent anyone else from entering.

Keep the police, fire department, and building security telephone numbers posted.

Double check to see that all doors are securely locked before you leave.
Suspicious Persons
If you see suspicious or offensive persons in the building, please call the Management Office immediately. If possible, make note of appearance, clothing, etc. in order to assist building security in locating them.
Please be aware of strangers in your Tenant areas and halls. Quite often a question such as “May I help you locate someone?” will be enough to deter a potential thief. Suspicious encounters of this type should be reported to the Management Office immediately.
If you are removing any items from your suite or an employees are moving items from the suite, such as; computers, large boxes, equipment etc., please submit your request to Management with the authorized tenant contact signature.
